The deadline for the Spring 2008 Essay Contest has been extended to February 28, 2008. Essay Contest Who can enter? Students in grades 4-12 in the United States and Canada Why should a student enter? Over $3000 in prizes to students and teachers in several regions. Student awards Top Ten essays in each grade division (4-6; 7-9; 10-12) will receive a $50 savings bond and a free copy of the anthology that is created from the contest. Teacher awards Schools that have 15 or more students accepted to be published will receive a Writing Achievement Award. These schools will receive a certificate, special recognition in the anthology and qualify to apply for one of two $250 grants that we give to two schools in each state or region. Teachers with 5 or more students accepted to be published will receive a free copy of the anthology that includes their student writers. What is the topic? Each student can write on a topic that they feel is important to them. Want help thinking of a topic? Students Need help on how to write a winning essay?
